EGG VESSEL
The sculpture takes on ideas of active vessels that carry and hold. Working through a process of building inside out an ovarian egg using discarded containers and other material from the studio, the piece takes on its own life shaping into a post-human egg. What the body consumes produces effects on the psychological and physiological. The monstrous egg vessel reflects the visceral response to menstruation and the realities of the female body, while posing the affects of the external world on our experiences.
