Looking at the construction of building blocks from children’s toys and pop-up books, I created a sculptural object in response to the massacre of children in Gaza, referencing the rituals of death, including cleansing the deceased's body in Islam, which is carried out by members of the family, in preparation for burial. When a body suffers deep trauma or mutilation, it is wrapped in a shroud before washing.
